About the estate
The Scheidecker & Fils estate is run by three successive generations of the family in Mittelwihr in Alsace. The vineyards cover twelve hectares divided into over eighty parcels located mainly in Mittelwihr and neighboring communes, and hold organic certification since 2024. The grape variety portfolio includes regional classics such as Sylvaner, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, and Pinot Noir. Production highlights include wines from four Grands Crus, specifically Mandelberg, Marckrain, Froehn, and Sporen. Cultural practices feature a combination of ploughing and grass cover between the rows, taking advantage of the dry microclimate at the foot of the Vosges mountains.
