About the estate
The Weinbau Scharl estate located in Zwentendorf an der Donau in the Wagram region cultivates partly small terraced vineyards with a special microclimate. The grape varieties Grüner Veltliner, Gelber Muskateller, Chardonnay, and Zweigelt thrive on deep loess soils that serve as excellent water reservoirs. This results in honest, fresh, and fruity wines. Due to the slope location of the press house and wine cellar, the winery utilizes gravity for the gentle processing of the grapes. The musts are subsequently fermented and matured chilled in steel tanks.
