About the estate
The Santus winery was founded in 1995 in Franciacorta by the two agronomists Maria Luisa Santus and Gianfranco Pagano. On ten hectares of vineyards, the founders personally cultivate around 60,000 vines and exclusively produce wines with the Franciacorta DOCG denomination. The estate philosophy is based on rejecting any standardization and emphasizing the inseparable link between vine, climate, and terroir. By deliberately avoiding cuvées, the product of single vintages is bottled. A rather late harvest imparts minerality, complexity, and structure combined with great drinkability to all their wines.
