About the estate
The Le Marchesine estate in Passirano, Lombardy, was founded in 1985 when Giovanni Biatta acquired the first three hectares of vineyards in the Franciacorta zone. The winemaking family looks back on a long tradition and has been dedicated to wine production for at least five generations. The documented roots of the Biatta family date back to 1196, with Giovanni's great-grandfather already active as a wine merchant and producer. Today, the small and innovative winery is considered one of the most prestigious and rapidly developing estates in the Lombardy region, focusing on Franciacorta DOCG wines.
