About the estate

The Ribafreixo Wines project spans 114 hectares of vineyards in Vidigueira, an Alentejo DOC subregion with a long winemaking tradition in Portugal. The estate benefits from a distinctive terroir featuring schist soils and a unique microclimate shaped by Atlantic winds and schist soils. Winemaker Paulo Laureano cultivates indigenous grape varieties such as Antão Vaz and Alicante Bouschet alongside other selections. Production takes place in a contemporary, bioclimatic winery building designed to utilize gravity during the various winemaking stages. Additionally, the property includes dedicated wine tourism facilities featuring a restaurant and a wine shop.
