About the estate

The Quinta do Zambujeiro estate was founded in 1999 and is located in Rio de Moinhos within the municipality of Borba in the northern Alentejo region. Situated in the heart of the Serra D’Ossa, the winery takes advantage of the local altitude and microclimate to produce distinctive wines. The estate combines conventional and organic farming practices, avoiding herbicides and protecting the soil during the wet winter season. By maintaining low yields in the vineyards, the winery focuses on high concentration of flavor and fruit as well as bottle longevity. Its wines are distributed internationally to markets including Switzerland, Germany, and Brazil.
