About the estate

The Projekt Wildtyp winery in St. Margarethen in Burgenland was founded in 2021 by Boris, who turned his passion for winemaking into a profession after many years in research. The estate produces unfiltered, skin-contact natural wines from grape varieties such as Grüner Veltliner, Müller-Thurgau, Neuburger, and Blaufränkisch. Work in the single-vineyard sites focuses entirely on spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts and the absence of artificial additives, with sulfur use completely eliminated starting from recent vintages. The wines are aged traditionally in stainless steel tanks, used wooden barrels, or glass demijohns. The resulting portfolio emphasizes authentic origin and natural energy.

The eno directory lists 9 wines, mostly from Grüner Veltliner and Blaufränkisch. Export markets include Germany and Netherlands.
