About the estate

The Poggio dell'Aquila estate located in Montalcino in Tuscany is managed by the Cosimi family in the third and fourth generation, who have been active as winemakers since 1971. The total property covers slightly more than 40 hectares, of which six hectares are planted with vineyards for Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and Rosso di Montalcino DOC. The vines were planted in 1971, with subsequent plantings following in 1989 and 2004, and the estate has been certified organic since 2012. The traditional production philosophy focuses on crafting authentic wines that faithfully reflect the geographical and territorial identity of Tuscany.
