About the estate
The Podernuovo estate was founded in 1958 by Ilvo Bartolomei and is situated in the hills of Montalcino and the Val d'Orcia in Tuscany. Today, the winery is led by Federico Bartolomei, who gained experience alongside notable winemakers before taking over operations. Across approximately eleven hectares of vineyards, the estate produces wines including Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Rosso di Montalcino DOC, Orcia DOC, and Toscana IGT. Production methods feature manual harvesting and temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel vats. Subsequent aging takes place in a restored historical cellar cave.
The eno directory lists 7 wines, mostly from Vermentino.
