About the estate

The PODERI COLLA s.s.a. estate based in Alba, Piedmont, is currently managed by Pietro Colla, who has taken over the legacy of his father and his uncle Beppe. The vineyards are located in the Langhe hills south of the Tanaro river at altitudes between 210 and 400 meters above sea level. The soils are characterized by the fossil marls of the Marne di Sant’Agata, which are rich in clay and limestone. The winery is known, among other things, for Bricco del Drago, a wine produced since the 1969 vintage by blending Dolcetto with a modest percentage of Nebbiolo and aging it in wood. The primary objective of the estate is to preserve the integrity of its wines while continuously pursuing qualitative evolution.
