Podere Canalino

About the estate

The Podere Canalino estate is situated on the terraced slopes of the Montalcino hill at an altitude between 350 and 400 meters above sea level. Replanted in 1999, the four-hectare vineyard features a high planting density of 9,500 vines per hectare to achieve low yields and concentrated fruit. Cultivation relies exclusively on four distinct local Sangiovese clones to capture the character and optimal structure of the mid-hill terroir. The production focuses on traditional wines including Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, Rosso di Montalcino DOC, and Toscana IGT, with the first harvest released in 2004.
