About the estate

The Thomas Schaurer organic winery is a family-run estate located in Billigheim-Ingenheim in the Palatinate region. Having evolved from a mixed agricultural farm, the estate currently cultivates 33 hectares of vineyards. The family is strictly committed to organic viticulture and, alongside traditional grape varieties such as Riesling and Pinot Noir, increasingly focuses on fungus-resistant grape varieties like Regent and Pinotin. Through natural soil management, the avoidance of chemical-synthetic fertilizers, and intensive manual labor in the vineyard, the estate produces full-bodied wines with a strong sense of origin. In the cellar, vinification is carried out with minimal intervention and few authorized processing aids to yield pure organic wines and sparkling wines.

The eno directory lists 37 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Noir. The estate sells to retail.
