About the estate
The Mouchão estate has its origins in 1824, when Thomas Reynolds emigrated to Portugal and subsequently established roots in the Alentejo region. The family initially focused on cork and other goods before bottling their wine for the first time in 1949, with the first branded vintage arriving in 1954. Following expropriation during the 1974 revolution, the property was returned to the family in 1986. To this day, the estate continues to produce the same traditional goods that were originally commercialized by its founders.
