About the estate
Located in Bianzone in Lombardy, the Marcel Zanolari estate was founded in 2001 by Giuliano Zanolari and has since been managed by his son Marcel. The beginnings trace back to the 1980s with initial experiments in cultivating vines completely without artificial plant protection products. Today, the winery encompasses ten hectares of vineyards where Nebbiolo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Nero, Pinot Bianco, and Traminer are grown. Since 2010, the vines have been cultivated according to biodynamic principles inspired by Rudolf Steiner, and the operation is officially recognized as biodynamic.
The eno directory lists 15 wines, mostly from PIWI and Nebbiolo. Export markets include Switzerland.
