About the estate
The family estate Maison Léon Baur is located in Eguisheim, Alsace, and looks back on a long history dating back to 1738. Today, the winery is managed in the ninth generation by Jean-Louis Baur and his daughter Caroline. Across a vineyard area of ten hectares divided into 42 plots, traditional regional grape varieties are cultivated. The estate practices environmentally friendly viticulture in accordance with high environmental certification standards, incorporating manual harvesting and careful soil management. The wines are aged in historic wooden casks located within the old cellars beneath the town ramparts.
