L. Simon Borászat

About the estate

The L. Simon Borászat manages twenty hectares of vineyards in the Etyek-Buda wine region near Lake Velence. The estate builds upon a multi-generational family tradition of winegrowing and was founded in 1999 by Simon és Simon Kft. The cellar, constructed from Sóskút limestone, features a modern setup for the reductive production of white and rosé wines alongside a traditional wooden barrel cellar for red wine maturation. The portfolio includes varieties such as Chasselas, Irsai Olivér, Zöld Veltelini, Chardonnay, Rozé cuvée, and Cabernet sauvignon. Vinification is carried out predominantly using grapes harvested from the estate's own vineyards.
