About the estate

The Kolfok winery in Neckenmarkt in Central Burgenland looks back on a history that reaches back to the early 19th century. The vineyards are situated at a unique intersection between the Pannonian expanse and the foothills of the Eastern Alps. There, alpine rocks in higher locations as well as loam, loess, and clay soils in lower sites shape the terroir. The estate works close to nature in both the vineyard and the cellar, where the wines mature in large local oak barrels, remain unfined and unfiltered, and are bottled with a minimal addition of sulfur.

The eno directory lists 12 wines, mostly from Blaufränkisch and Welschriesling. The estate sells to distributors. Export markets include Germany, Switzerland and Netherlands.
