About the estate

The Julia Kemper Wines, S.A. estate in Mangualde within the Dão region cultivates twenty hectares of vineyards on granitic soils. The Melo family's winemaking legacy spans over four centuries, with the estate's revival taking place in 2003. The vineyards of Quinta do Cruzeiro are farmed according to organic and biodynamic principles without the use of synthetic chemicals. The portfolio features traditional grape varieties of Dão, producing organic white, rosé, red, and sparkling wines. Vinification is carried out entirely organically, vegan, and craftily to express the purity and character of the mountain and forest terroir.
