About the estate

The traditional family-run estate Humer has been cultivating vineyards in the Wagram and Kamptal wine regions since 1840. The geological conditions of the sites allow for the cultivation of a broad range of grape varieties, including Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Chardonnay, and Zweigelt. The winery focuses on close-to-nature vineyard management and sensible yield reduction to create fruit-forward wines. Vinification is carried out gently through temperature-controlled, slow fermentation in stainless steel tanks, whereas red wines are aged in traditional wooden barrels. In addition, the estate produces spirits and liqueurs from its own fruit orchards.
