About the estate
The Humbrecht Gustave estate in Pfaffenheim looks back on a family history dating back to at least 1620, while Paul Humbrecht became the first of the lineage to settle there in 1900 and bottle his wine. Today, the seven-hectare property is managed by Marc Humbrecht representing the thirteenth generation, assisted by his wife Susel. The estate transitioned to organic agriculture in 1998 and biodynamics in 1999, certified by Ecocert. Vineyard management relies on manual labor and hand-harvested grapes in harmony with nature.
