About the estate

The Honsig family winery is a traditional family estate located in Platt in the Weinviertel region, where wine has been crafted for generations. As a small family business, the estate places great emphasis on sustainability, quality over quantity, and attention to detail. To ensure vine vitality and produce complex wines, the winery relies on a reduced grape yield and conscious soil management within a closed nutrient cycle. Harvesting is done exclusively by hand in the vineyard to process only healthy, naturally ripened grapes. In the wine cellar and the cozy dining room, the estate also offers tastings for visitors.

The eno directory lists 17 wines, mostly from Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. The estate sells to retail.
