About the estate
The Holzschuh Johann und Martha estate cultivates its own vineyards, which are located two-thirds in Platt and one-third in the neighboring Zellerndorf in the Weinviertel region. Since 2009, cultivation has followed the strict guidelines of organic viticulture, completely avoiding mineral fertilizers and systemic pesticides. Vinification includes temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, while red wines are aged in tanks, traditional wooden casks, or barriques. The winery focuses on producing regionally typical wines through an environmentally conscious approach with minimal cellar intervention.
