About the estate

The Herdade da Barrosinha estate is located by the Sado River in Alcácer do Sal as part of a larger property featuring a hotel, restaurants, and nature activities. Under the guidance of winemaker Sara Carapinha, the estate produces wines from a selection of white and red grape varieties. The winemaking process combines traditional concrete amphorae with modern stainless steel tanks. Situated between the Setúbal Peninsula and the Alentejo region, the vineyards benefit from diverse local microclimates. In addition to wine production, the estate offers cultural workshops, local gastronomy, and hospitality services.
