About the estate
The small family estate Herança Sanheiro is located in Lagameças in the heart of the vineyards of Palmela within the Península de Setúbal region. Managed across generations by the family, the winery relies on minimal intervention and traditional methods. The red wine is produced from the Castelão grape variety fermented in open lagares and pressed manually. The white wine originates from an old field blend vineyard where Fernão Pires and Roupeiro grapes are harvested together. The portfolio consists of limited, numbered editions carrying the denominations Palmela DOC, Península de Setúbal IG, and Setúbal DOC.
