About the estate

The Heichinger winery in Eggenburg in the Weinviertel region is a traditional estate founded in 1968. The idea for the family business originated with grandfather Ludwig Heichinger, and management was later passed on to Gertraud Heichinger. The foundation for the quality of the wines, including the Weinviertel DAC designation, is provided by special soil conditions, favorable climatic circumstances, and careful vineyard maintenance. The ripe grapes are traditionally harvested by hand and subsequently processed gently in the cellar. Combined with cellar techniques and experience, these practices yield the estate's wines.
