About the estate

The Gerações da Talha estate in Vidigueira looks back on a long family tradition of winemaking dating back to the first half of the 20th century. The historical roots of the winery are closely tied to the traditional production of wine in clay amphorae, known as talhas, in the Alentejo region. Francisco Nogueira Anacleto took over the adega in 1939 and significantly shaped production over decades. In 2019, Teresa Caeiro and her husband João Enteiriço officially founded the company to continue the heritage passed down through generations. Today, the portfolio includes various wines such as white wines made from Antão Vaz, red wines, palhete, and special bottlings.
