About the estate

The Freixa Rigau, S.A. estate located in Capmany looks back on a history spanning three generations, initiated by José Oliveda Casanovas and his wife Joana Rigau Ros. The founders established the winery during a challenging era to bring joy to the locals and generate regional prosperity. Subsequently, Anna Maria Oliveda Rigau and her husband Josep Freixa Escarrà continued the family tradition and contributed their expertise to grow the business. Today, the estate is led by Alfonso Freixa Oliveda, who has managed and defended the family winery for over thirty years while creating a distinct wine project with its own unique identity.
