About the estate
The Fontorfio estate is located in Cossignano, a medieval village in the Marche hinterland situated between the Sibillini mountains and the sea. The winery continues the work of traditional farmers, relying on manual methods without modern machinery or chemical treatments. The vineyards are cultivated with grape varieties such as Pecorino, Passerina, and Cordisco. In the cellar, selected yeasts, sophisticated practices, and filtration are avoided, while sulfur use is kept to a minimum or eliminated entirely. The portfolio includes structured white wines, orange wines, rosés, and red wines.
The eno directory lists 9 wines, mostly from Cordisco and Pecorino.
