About the estate
The Fontanassa estate is located in Rovereto di Gavi in the heart of the historic Gavi DOCG production zone and originates from a 16th-century fortified farmhouse. The property has been owned by the Gemme family since December 1921, with brothers Marco and Roberto producing the first bottles in 1988. Out of a total estate area of 90 hectares, 43 hectares are dedicated to vineyards situated at altitudes between 290 and 330 meters on clay soils with stones and iron-rich sands. The wine portfolio features multiple expressions of Gavi alongside Colli Tortonesi Timorasso and Monferrato wines.
