Favre t'Chippis

About the estate

The Favre t'Chippis estate manages six hectares of vineyards located in the region of Sierre in Valais. The parcels are distributed between the left and right banks of the Rhone, featuring diverse climatic and geological characteristics depending on the terroir, altitude, and exposure. While heat-sensitive grape varieties and Savagnin blanc thrive in cooler zones on the left bank, autochthonous varieties such as Rèze, Petite Arvine, Syrah, and Cornalin are cultivated on the more exposed plots of the right bank. The complex soils are primarily composed of limestone and marl resulting from a prehistoric rockslide, alongside calcareous schist and glacial moraines in specific areas.
