About the estate
The Falcon Land - Sociedade Vitivinícola, Lda estate is located in the northeastern corner of the Alentejo region within the Portalegre DOC in Portugal. The history of the Tapada do Falcão estate dates back to around 1947 when the majority of the land was purchased. A vineyard spanning nearly seven hectares was planted in the year 2000 with five different red grape varieties. The property is situated on the slopes of the Serra de São Mamede within a protected natural park area.

From 2008-2012 we produced a full bodied red wine called Rocha Rosa. The wines were vinified and matured in stainless steel vats before being given a moderate amount of oak ageing.
