About the estate

The Dunkl family estate is located in Röschitz at the foot of the Manhartsberg in the western Weinviertel region and cultivates primary rock, loess, and clay soils. The estate's main grape variety is Grüner Veltliner, complemented by Riesling, Frühroter Veltliner, Weißburgunder, and Zweigelt. Viticulture places a high priority on manual labor in the vineyards as well as consistent winter cover cropping to protect and build humus in the soils. The wines develop through hot days and cool nights and are traditionally vinified. In addition to winemaking, the family business engages in arable farming and operates a seasonal wine tavern.
