About the estate
Located in Bourgheim in Alsace, the Domaine Rémy Lutz winery is a family-run estate that has been passed down from father to son for three generations. The vineyards cover more than 9 hectares across seven different communes at the foot of the Vosges foothills, with the estate operating under organic farming and holding the Haute Valeur Environnementale certification. The portfolio includes wines produced from the traditional grape varieties of the AOC Alsace as well as AOC Crémant d'Alsace. Vineyard management relies on nature-friendly soil maintenance and a high proportion of manual labor. Harvesting is conducted by hand or mechanically depending on the grape variety and wine style, while the vinification of the various terroirs and cuvées takes place separately in the estate's own cellar.
The eno directory lists 17 wines, mostly from Riesling and Pinot Noir. The estate sells to retail.
