About the estate
The Domaine Paul Prieur has been cultivating vineyards in Sancerre for eleven generations. Located at the top of the village of Verdigny at the foot of the Monts Damnés slope, the estate has been managed by Luc Prieur since the 2012 vintage. Spanning 14.5 hectares of vineyards, the estate produces Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir on diverse soils including limestone, clay, and flint. Farming is carried out organically and artisanally with manual harvesting and without the use of weedkillers or insecticides. In the cellar, vinification avoids pre-fermentation sulfites and filtration in order to preserve the expression of each individual terroir.
