About the estate

The Domaine la Rouquette estate is managed in the fourth generation by the Benezeth family in Saint Privat within the Languedoc region. The history of the winery began in 1948 when René Benezeth established the farm with sheep and two hectares of vines. Over the decades, the property was expanded, and since the 2000s the family has vinified its own wines. The vineyards are situated at an altitude of over 300 meters in the foothills of the Larzac on a hard subsoil shaped by detrital limestone and schist. Today, the estate farms its vineyards according to organic agriculture guidelines and belongs to the AOC Terrasses du Larzac.
