Domaine l Hermas

About the estate

The Domaine l Hermas estate was founded in 2004 by Matthieu Torquebiau on a wild and isolated land within the Terrasses du Larzac denomination, where he manages ten hectares of vineyards together with Alexandra. The vineyards are situated at an altitude of two hundred and fifty meters on the northern slope of the Massif de l'Arboussas and are planted with grape varieties such as Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Carignan. Viticulture is conducted organically with manual harvesting and permanent ground cover throughout the year. The winemaking approach in the cellar is minimalist and authentic, omitting commercial yeasts and filtration. For maturation, the red wines age in barriques and the white wines in demi-muids.
