About the estate
The Domaine du Grand Fontanille estate is situated on the northern slopes of the Alpilles in the heart of Provence and features a historic seventeenth-century bastide. The property spans sixty hectares of land, including four and a half hectares dedicated to vineyards. Following the purchase in 1989 by the Chauffard family, the vineyards were replanted with an immediate commitment to organic farming. Within this specific microclimate, the grape varieties Grenache, Syrah, and Cabernet-Sauvignon thrive. These vines produce distinctive red and rosé wines, which are distributed under designations including Alpilles IGP and AOC Coteaux d'Aix en Provence.
