About the estate
The Domaine des Favards estate was founded in 1920 by Casimir Barbaud and is located in the southern Rhône Valley in Violès. Today, the family-run winery is managed in the fourth generation by Céline Barbaud, alongside her father Jean-Paul. The estate spans 25 hectares of vineyards under the Côtes du Rhône and Côtes du Rhône Villages Plan de Dieu appellations. The vines grow on clay-limestone and stony soils, and the entire property is cultivated organically. Vinification takes place using concrete tanks and oak barrels to produce characteristic regional wines, including a 100% Syrah cuvée.
