About the estate

The Domaine des Chesnaies/le Fief Noir estate is located in St Lambert du Lattay in the Loire Valley and covers a vineyard area of 30 hectares in the center of the Anjou Noir. The property was taken over in 2014 by Alexis Soulas and Dominique Sirot, who previously worked together in Corsica. The vineyards are characterized by schist soils that were formed millions of years ago, offering ideal conditions for viticulture. A primary focus of the work is on the Chenin variety to highlight the region's potential. Farming is conducted organically, and the portfolio includes wines from the AOC Anjou, AOC Anjou Blanc, AOC Anjou Villages, AOC Cabernet d'Anjou, AOC Chaume, and AOC Coteaux du Layon denominations.
