About the estate

The wine estate Domaine des Baumard in Rochefort-sur-Loire manages 40 hectares of vineyards and dates back to 1634. Jean Baumard expanded the property starting in 1955 with acquisitions in Savennières and Quarts de Chaume, establishing the modern winery. The vineyards are cultivated using wide and high training systems with dimensions of 3 meters in width and 2 meters in height. Harvesting is done manually in shallow boxes, followed by delicate fractional pressing. Vinification and aging are carried out without wood contact. The portfolio includes the appellations Savennières, Crémant de Loire, Coteaux du Layon, Quarts de Chaume, Anjou Rouge, Rosé de Loire, Cabernet d’Anjou, and Vins de France.
