About the estate
The Domaine de Rocheville was established in 2004 by Philippe Porché in Parnay within the Loire Valley, cultivating vineyards on clay-limestone soils with tuffeau subsoil. The estate grows Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc to produce wines under the AOC Saumur, AOC Saumur Blanc, AOC Saumur Champigny, AOC Saumur Rosé, and AOC Crémant de Loire denominations. Farming follows ecological principles with mechanical and grass-covered soil management as well as hand harvesting, leading to organic certification in 2019. Traditional vinifications take place in a modern eco-designed winery, utilizing stainless steel vats, large oak casks, barriques, or sandstone eggs for maturation.
