About the estate

The Domaine de la Pepiere estate is located in Maisdon-sur-Sèvre in the Loire Valley and was established in 1984 by Marc. Over the years, the winery expanded through the acquisition of targeted, older parcels situated on distinctive soils composed of granite, gneiss, gabbro, and granodiorite. Viticulture is conducted organically and biodynamically, relying consistently on manual labor, mechanical soil cultivation without herbicides, and hand harvesting. The primary focus is the cultivation of the Melon B. grape variety to produce wines under the AOC Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur Lie denomination as well as local crus. The wines are aged on the lees to highlight the mineral and complex characteristics of their origin.
