About the estate

The Domaine de Cantalauze estate comprises nine hectares of vineyards situated on a limestone plateau in Cahuzac-sur-Vère, established in 1982. Located at the convergence of oceanic and Mediterranean climates, the winery has practised ecological agriculture since its inception. The vineyards are cultivated with indigenous grape varieties including Mauzac, Ondenc, Loin de l’Œil, Braucol, Duras, Syrah, and Prunelart. All grapes are harvested entirely by hand, and fermentations are conducted spontaneously using indigenous yeasts. The wines are aged in wooden barrels or clay amphorae depending on the cuvée.
