Domaine Clavel

About the estate

The Domaine Clavel estate in Assas manages 17 hectares of vineyards and produces wines within the Montpeyroux and Pic Saint Loup denominations. Run by Pierre and Estelle Clavel, the property has farmed organically since taking over the vineyards in 2009. The plots are distributed across limestone soils in different locations, featuring sites in Saint Jean de Cuculles as well as high-altitude parcels in Montpeyroux. The estate encompasses a diverse biotope including olive groves and truffle oaks, where grape varieties such as Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Carignan thrive. The viticulture and winemaking philosophy relies on natural soil management, harvesting by traditional containers, and minimal intervention in the cellar.
