Domaine Bonnet du Fou

About the estate

The Domaine Bonnet du Fou estate was founded in 2021 in the wine village of Twann when the winemakers took over previously used cellar rooms. Spanning 2.3 hectares of vineyards at Lake Bielersee, Roman and Manuel cultivate the land organically and biodynamically using exclusively manual labor. The use of heavy machinery, fertilizers, and tillage is consistently avoided to promote biodiversity and protect the soil. In the cellar, vinification is carried out with minimal intervention, native yeasts, low sulfur, and mostly without filtration. The wines reflect the origin, the terroir, and the individual characteristics of each vintage.

The eno directory lists 11 wines, mostly from Pinot Noir and Chasselas. The estate sells to distributors and retail.
