About the estate
Founded by two brothers, the Domaine Bernatas estate manages 6.5 hectares of vineyards in the AOC Limoux appellation in Languedoc. The parcels are spread across the municipalities of La Digne-d’Amont, Castelreng, and Magrie at altitudes between 250 and 410 meters on clay-limestone soils. The cultivated grape varieties include the white varieties Mauzac, Chardonnay, and Chenin, as well as the red varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Aramon. Farming is conducted according to biodynamic principles without chemical inputs and largely through manual labor. In the cellar, vinification relies on minimal intervention, native yeasts, and reduced sulfite levels.
The eno directory lists 5 wines, mostly from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The estate sells to importers, horeca and retail.
