About the estate
The Clos de Caveau estate is located in the southern Rhône Valley on the border of Vacqueyras and Gigondas within the Dentelles de Montmirail massif. Managed by the same family for three generations, the property encompasses seventeen hectares of vineyards situated on hillside clay-limestone soils at an altitude of three hundred meters. The entire estate has been farmed organically since 1976, making it a pioneer in biological viticulture for nearly fifty years. The Bungener family produces distinct parcel-based organic wines on these protected micro-terroirs that reflect the unique geography and rich biodiversity of the location.
