About the estate
The Clauvallis winery is located in the eastern part of the Rhône Valley in the Vaucluse, stretching across the southern foothills of Mount Ventoux and the Vaucluse mountains. Archaeological discoveries indicate that vine cultivation in this region, characterized by Miocene soils and quaternary formations, is among the oldest in France. The Mediterranean climate, featuring abundant sunshine and the mistral wind, creates favorable conditions for producing characterful wines. Red and rosé wines are primarily crafted from Grenache Noir, Syrah, Carignan, and Cinsault, whereas white wines are made from Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Viognier, and Chardonnay.
