About the estate
Located in Leingarten at the foot of the Heuchelberg, the Christian Hirsch Weine e.K. estate is run as a family business in its third generation. The vineyards feature heavy Keuper soils on southern slopes where both traditional and robust PIWI grape varieties thrive. The winery manages its vineyards sustainably without herbicides and relies on natural nutrient supply. In the cellar, winemaking is vegan and conducted without the use of animal products. Craft methods include selective hand harvesting and the aging of red wines in oak barrels made from Swabian oak within the historic sandstone cellar.
