Chateau Mourgues du Gres

About the estate

Founded in 1990, Chateau Mourgues du Grès is located in Beaucaire in Languedoc and has a history tracing back to a 16th-century agricultural estate belonging to the Ursuline nuns. The vineyards are situated on a terroir of galets stones and clay-limestone marl at the foothills of the Costières de Nîmes. Managed by François Collard and his family, the estate operates in harmony with nature and holds official certifications for organic and biodynamic agriculture. In the cellar, vinifications are conducted with low sulfur additions to preserve the purity and brightness of the fruit.
